ICYMI — 19

John headshot Oct2013With all the hustle and bustle of the season, I nearly lost track of time and forgot to post this week’s list of links to interesting things I found while looking around these internets of ours.

To begin with, here’s a helpful reminder that Christmas looks different through the eyes of a child than it does to most of us adults — and that’s not necessarily a good thing. My favorite quote: “I think we forgot that we choose to see the magic. What we choose, we see.”

Winifred M. Reilly has been married for 36 years. Here’s a list of 36 things she’s learned over those years.

Sometimes dads struggle to know what to say to their kids. Tor Constantino says you can never go wrong with these three statements.

Jason Kiesau believes that creating a culture of respect, love, trust, togetherness, and fun in the home can lead to closer families. I think he’s right.

Finally, I don’t know anyone who likes getting pulled over the police — especially when we’re all rushing around during the holidays. This video may make you change your mind. It may even restore your faith in the local constable on patrol.

Well, that’s it for this week. Let me know if I missed anything!
