Peace in the Storm?
That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” Leaving the crowd behind, they took Jesus along, just as he was, in the boat…A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Today I leave for a week in the Middle East. Graciously, I’ve been invited to meet with a group of Muslims and Christians who actively work, and yes, pray together, for peace.
In many ways, such a trip encapsulates my life’s work, and the mission of ScreamFree: helping people learn practical ways to face conflict and find peace.
Truth be told, it’s what we all want. Peace among nations, peace between religions, peace at home, peace of mind–that’s what we ache for. Each and every one of us craves a peace within our families and within ourselves that gives us a remarkably calm rest, even in the midst of life’s storms.
I hope ScreamFree can help you find yours.
Meanwhile, I ask for your warmest thoughts, and for those so inclined, your sincerest prayers, that my new friends and I may be instruments for practical peace, and that we all return safely to our families.
