The Power of One
“I am only one, but I am still one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. I will not refuse to do the something that I can do.” (Helen Keller)
Most people feel overwhelmed by the sheer volume of life from time to time. You spend so much time and energy trying to figure out what has to be done. You come up with a list and stare at the really difficult items, rather than actually doing the ones that seem most doable. You get worn out before you even begin.
When you first decide to live a ScreamFree life, it can be overwhelming. You might be tempted to think you’ve got to get all the principles down before any significant change can occur. That’s just not true. Small changes made consistently over time will add up to big differences.
So, ask yourself, “What’s one thing I could do right now?” Then do it. You’ll find that even one small actual change trumps a mountain of potential change.
