Sometimes, when you need to be persuasive, be courageous enough to simply state what you need to state, and then stop talking and walk away.

“Junior, what you do with your words is up to you, but how I respond is up to me, and talking rudely like that will never get me to do what you want. Never.”

“I know you’re my boss, but I don’t like it when you talk to me like I’m your child.”

Or how about this one:

“Honey, I love you dearly, but when you yell at the kids like that, it makes it harder for me to find you attractive.”
